The main thing i remember about my mom is how much she genuinely loved and cared for her family. She worked hard her entire life. When she was small, she would tell us about how she would be woken up before dawn to go w/ her mom to pick cotton. They would get there sooooo early because the cotton still had dew on it and it would weigh more when they sold it. When my sisters and I started going to school, she taught the kindergarten class at our catholic school.
When we were in our teens, she started working for Superior Air Products and got to travel to a lot of to foreign countries, leaving my oldest sister in charge. Big mistake, we would end up having a big party, but always had the house back to normal by the time she got home. My sisters and I were a handful when we we were younger. I started apologizing to my mom through out the years for what I put her through during my teen years. Frequently reminding her that I turned out just fine and I'm good now. although it was trying at times when she came to live w// me in her last 2 1/2 years of her life, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Even though we knew her time left was short, I wasn't expecting it so soon. At least she got to go peacefully w/ us right by her side. She didn't suffer in any way and fell asleep, then that was it.
Im going to miss her soooooo much.
