Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of Barbara?
A: Barbara was someone to emulate; a bright, positive, God-fearing woman who left an indelible mark on my heart. She was beautiful (had the best hair in the family), funny and positive - always. I will cherish the memories I have of our times together at Uncle Sam's and Aunt Virginia's house. And how she tried to set my hair with beer cans like she did with hers! She was fun. Everyone should have a fun cousin. Rest in Peace, sweet lady.

Barbara was that friend who captured your heart from the moment you met her…she had a smile that would just light up the darkest room…she had an infectious laugh that I can still hear each time I think of her…her cooking & crafting skills were second to none & we both enjoyed doing different crafts over the years…we were possibly Rag Shops best customers…but it was her unwavering love for her family & friends that made her stand out as even extra special. I will treasure all the times we spent together when I lived over there but also the wonderful friendship that continued even after I moved home to Ireland. She will always be with us in spirit & in the memories we hold deep in our hearts. With love & sympathy to Paul, AnneMarie, Christine, Gian, Andrew, Matthew & little Austin. You will be deeply missed Barbara but you will never be forgotten xxxxx

I met Barbara through my brother, George, at Paul’s family pastry shop. We became friends throughout the years and Facebook friends. I always enjoyed her Christmas cards and letters with update of the family. I’m going to miss her Facebook comments. I can’t believe she’s gone. I know you’re watching over us. Rest in peace my friend.

I can remember so vividly being welcomed in the DeRobertis home on so many occasions as a child. Barbara was like a loving aunt to us even though there was no relation. So kind was Barbara that she continued to send gifts and warm messages to us here in Ireland after we moved back. Most recently sending an amazing outfit to our new baby daughter. My thoughts are with the family and we send our deepest condolences to you all at this time. Lots of love, Mike O’Halloran.

Barbara was our delightful neighbor and friend for over 35 years. We watched her children grow up, swam in their pool, celebrated both our families weddings, parties, wedding ceremonies, and the occasional sad events. Barbara & Paul raised 3 terrific children & introduced us to her grandson before we moved. She was a great cook and shared her terrific meals. There is so much more but she will be missed by her family and friends.
Lots of love,
Marg, Barry, Kevin & Stephanie

I can remember spending time at the Asbury park beach house with Aunt Barbara ( before she actually became my Aunt) .
Grandma had her sleep with me as a child, I remember her getting up in the middle of the night saying the clock on the night stand moved by itself.
We got a lot of laughs from that.
You will be missed beyond belief. I hold all of the memories dear in my heart. May she rest in peace
