Obituary of Maddalena Giambrone

Maddalena Giambrone, 92, of Marlboro, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. Maddalena was born in Aquarolla, Italy, a town east of Naples. She met her loving spouse Rosario J. and eventually settled in Marlboro, NJ.  Maddalena loved to cook, knit and crochet and could often be found dancing to 50’s music.

Maddalena was predeceased by her parents Carmine Ceruso and Raffaella Ceruso and her husband Rosario J. Giambrone. Maddalena is survived by her 13 children and their spouses, Roy Giambrone, Carmine Giambrone & Carole, Edward Giambrone & Karen,  Patricia  Ferraioli & Nicholas, Viola DiLuglio & Louis, Albert Giambrone & Diane, Carolyn Errico & Leonard, Timothy Giambrone & Fedilina,  Mary Lamartina & William, Ronald Giambrone & Elizabeth, Geraldine Kauffman & John, Mark Giambrone & Maria and Joann & Dr. Daniel Wilen, and her 33 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her loving sister Anna Lodi and Jack, and her siblings in Italy, Gerardo Ceruso & Clementina, Reno Ceruso & Claudia, Maria Appoloni & Ezio, and many cousins both in America and Italy. 

 Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, October 15^th, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North.  A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Gabriel's MAIN Church, 100 N. Main Street, Marlboro, NJ on Monday, October 16th at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel's Cemetery and Mausoleum, Marlboro.
