Obituary of Barabara O'Shea

Barbara Schmidt O'Shea, 67, of Manalapan, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Jersey City, she lived in New Milford and Dumont before moving to Manalapan 34 years ago. Barbara was a registered nurse working for Horizon BCBS in Wall for the past 16 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colts Neck. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Schmidt. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, James; her three sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Melissa, Kevin and Sherri, and Christopher and Lindsey; three siblings and their spouses, Debra and Ralph Horstmann, Robert and Grace Schmidt and Raymond and Maureen Schmidt; and seven grandchildren, Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, Jan. 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Colts Neck. Interment will be private.
