Obituary of Elizabeth Saunders Clelland Gomory

Elizabeth Saunders Clelland Gomory, 83, of Belford, NJ passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.  She was born in NYC, NY and has resided in Belford for 55 years. She taught chemistry, physics and math at Henry Hudson Regional High School for 35 years. Subsequently, for the past 20 years she was a professor at Brookdale Community College teaching organic chemistry. Elizabeth absolutely loved singing in the choir and playing in the handbell choirs at Colts Neck Reformed Church.  She loved traveling the globe with her travel buddies and particularly loved German Shepherds. Over the past few years, she had the opportunity to adopt 2 different German Shepherd rescues named Bronx & Capone.   

Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents John Boyd Clelland and Catherine Pingley Clelland and her brother Charles Dennis. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Karen Ann and Darryl Feeney. 

Friends and family are invited to visit on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 9:30-11:30am at the Colts Neck Reformed Church, Colts Neck.  A celebration of life service will follow at 11:30am.  Interment will be held at Atlantic Cemetery, Colts Neck and the repast will follow at the Fellowship Hall at Colts Neck Reformed Church.
