Today is one of my saddest and happiest days of my life! Happy, because I know my dearest friend since sixth grade is no longer feeling the aches and pains and discomforts that come to us all with the passage of time. Saddest, because I will miss the company of my dear sister in Christ, and all our conversations, heavy, light, funny and goofy! We shared many memories from childhood, and our adventures and experiments in growing up. They are all lodged in my heart forever. Karen,my condolences, and all my love are with you this day too. I know you know your mom is free up in Heaven walking with our Lord, her family and friends who prepared a special place for her. She is also with all her dogs she’s ever owned, and they are having a ball!! And of course, my Liz is singing, and playing those bells without any problems, adding to the joyous, Heavenly music! All my love, Lynn Huffman!

Dear Karen and Family.
I am so grateful to you for reaching out to me, Betty’s cousin, to allow me to share with all of you—family, friends, students, parishioners, travelers, in the Celebration of Betty’s Life. Her picture reminds me so much of your Nana and my Aunt Catherine, Betty’s Mom. Aunt Catherine’s Joy was your Mom. Betty’s Joy was you, Karen. Betty’s rich
life consisted of: love of family, people, her students, life, music, learning, her church, science, and above all God.
It is most what I knew and loved about her especially since we share many of these same ideals.
Please on behalf of me and the Pingley family receive my sincere condolences and love to surround and support you in this time of grief but knowing we have an advocate in Paradise.
Love and prayers, Noreen Pingley

Liz was one of the most wonderful neighbor and friend anyone could have ! She passed her love for the Lord and family and friends on to her amazing daughter, Karen ! May God give her loved ones peace through the promises of God. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes on His will have everlasting life:. John 3:16 May she Rest In Peace in heaven with her Lord and Saviour Jesus, and all those who have gone one before us !

Dear Karen, I met you once when I was in Jersey with the traveling buddies. Your mom was a beautiful lady with a great smile.. I had the pleasure of meeting her through Jean and We enjoyed many fun filled vacations together. She may not be here in person but will always be in your heart and ours.

Jeff thank you for such a beautiful post. She loved teaching and I know making a difference in cultivating your interest in science would put a huge smile on her face. She was incredibly special, loved by so many and made such a positively impact in others’ lives.

Karen,
I have such wonderful thoughts of your mom. Her decades of true friendship with my mom, starting in childhood, meant the world to my mom. The ONLY comfort in all of this is that I'm convinced that they are hanging out again, sharing funny stories and laughing with genuine abandon, like we've heard them do.
I know that there are no words that can take away your sadness and loss. Know that while I'm 3,000 miles away, it's just a phone call, text or facetime.
My love to you.
Cathy

Cathy - what can I say our moms are together again having a blast. My mom used to say -Jean called me and started explaining a trip she thought the group should go on…. Mom would always cut her off and say YES I’M IN!!! They were life long friends, incredible, beautiful, strong women. We are so lucky to have had them as our moms. Sending you all my love

Dear Karen,
Our hearts go out to you during this difficult time. Your Mother was a true angel and we loved her very much. We will miss her smile, her laugh, and her heart of gold. She will remain in our hearts forever. We are lucky to have very fond memories of her. We will always remember all the visits we made to her house, all the Relay for Life festivities, all the Elks Club parties we attended, and all the emails and telephone conversations.
Love to you and Darryl from Nancy Nucci and Michael Nucci.

Nancy & Mike - thank you so much for supporting mom in so many ways over the years. She absolutely adored you. Your support group activities meant so much to her. It is such a shock and sad moment for us all. Think of her infectious laugh I know it will bring you comfort.

Karen, we have been together through all of this right from the beginning. Your mom was my best buddy since the sixth grade when she moved from Rhode Island. We went to the same school, church, and lived a few blocks from each other. We spent many afternoons together, and each summer, we went to church camp. There is no doubt that I will miss our video hats every night. We always found something to talk about.
Karen I know your heart is numb right now, there is so much for you to do, but every once in a while reality seeps in. Know that I am here for you whenever you need me, and together we will strengthen each other. I love you!
