Dearest Daddy, This will probably be the last time I can write to you until we are reunited some day in eternal rest. Since your passing, I have thought so much about you and what the years growing up with you and Mami have been. Thinking about all the times we moved in Queens, always to a better apartment, buying a house finally in Bayside the year before I got married. Having that peach tree in the backyard. You helping me walk on icy sidewalks so I could get to my bus stop to get to the train in Flushing so I could go to work. Memories just keep coming at me. You and Mami moving three houses down from me in Flushing being able to have breakfast with you and Mami after I dropped Matthew off at school. You coming home from overnight at Steinway Bake Shop with so many delicious goodies, fresh rolls, brownies, apple strudel and so much more. My children at the time able to just walk to your house. But the most wonderful memory is me and my family living with you and Mami for six months as I waited for my house to be built in NJ. It was like being a little girl again. I still remember the day we pulled away from your house as we left for our new home and I cried almost all the way to NJ. But then you and Mami eventually came to Freehold. Watching my children and grandchildren grow up. Thank you for your love Daddy. It was an honor and privilege to watch over you and take care of you and Mami when you needed us the most. I am heartbroken that the last two and half months of your life, I was not allowed to be with you and to give you the loving care I wanted to give you. I hope you realized how much I loved you and how blessed I felt to be with you. Rest easy Daddy. Kiss Mami for me and tell her how much I love and miss her too. Con mucho carino, Zoilita

Daddy, I love you so much. You were a wonderful, loving and generous father. Thank - you for all you taught me , especially how to drive. You were so patient and kind. I am grateful for all the opportunities you gave us. You brought us to the USA so we could have a better life, you provided us with a private Catholic school education and a secure, loving home. Llito cause I couldn’t say Abuelito and somehow it stuck for over 40 years. The years in New York being able to walk to your house and later moving in across the street so my kids could do the same. It was great. Miss you and Ma tremendously. Rest easy.
