Obituary of Michael Anthony LaCava

Michael A. LaCava, 87, of New Port Richey, Florida, formerly of Old Bridge, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in Florida. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he resided in Old Bridge before retiring to New Port Richey. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of both WWII and Korean War. Mike was a meat manager for A&P Supermarket in Brooklyn and then Foodtown in Lakewood before retiring. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; five children and their spouses, Michael and June, Robert, Thomas and Laury, Janet, and James and LuAnn; step-son, Frank Borawski and his wife, Shelly; four siblings and their spouses, Saverio and Dorothy, Carmine and Andrea, Caroline Macca, and Joseph and Valarie; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 19th, from 10 to 12 PM, at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan, followed by interment at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick.
