Uncle Mike could light up a room wherever he went. No matter what was going on, when Uncle Mike was around, things were lighter. While I didn't see him often, I looked forward to those times we had together.
I wish I knew he was a veteran back when I served, I'm sure he had many good stories.
Rest easy, Uncle Mike. Semper Fi.
Your Nephew
Mike

Uncle Mike was such a happy guy. No matter what was going on, when he was around, he lit up the room. While I didn't see him a lot, I looked forward to the times we got to spend to together. I will miss him. Semper Fi, Uncle Mike. Your Nephew

Mike was a very hard-working, honorable, dependable and kind man. His life was defined by his many acts of serving others and giving back to the community. He raised a family of 5 children with his first wife. He served our country in two wars. He served the public as a butcher. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was the President of a Little League. After he retired he took on jobs and tasks that not many people are willing to do. He took on the thankless job of serving as the Board President for several homeowners associations in Florida. He did so to make the communities he lived in a better place. As a result, he was constantly fixing problems and responding to complaints from hundreds of people he didn’t know at all hours of the day. Mike helped a friend with in store product demonstrations for years, standing in places like Publix for hours on beautiful Saturday afternoons, handing out free product samples. And Mike served God and the Lord not just by faithfully attending mass weekly, but by administering the Eucharistic bread to the sick at a local hospital, where many of the patients were the same age or younger than him. And Mike was there to help friends that took ill, making sure that they were being looked after, and being there when they needed someone to talk to. He would take them to the store, or do their shopping for them, take them to doctor’s appointments, help them find a scooter so that they could have some mobility, etc. It was an honor for me to have Mike as my step-father. And he was a great husband to my mother. I’ll miss talking about baseball with him. And I’ll also miss his sense of humor. Rest in peace Mike. You will always be remembered and loved.

I am sorry for the loss of Uncle Mike. I was thrilled that he was able to share in our families blessings. He will be missed and celebrated in the rest of our lives. I was sorry that I was not able to attend the services in Florida but my heart was with you Aunt Barbara. Please know that our family share your sorrows and may the Good Lord light the way for Uncle Mike on his journey home. Danny, Joanna, Alexander and the Little Michalski, yet to be named (I like Walter or Stanley)

Dad, Laury, Michael, Anthony, Joey and I will miss you,I am glad that you had the chance to see your grandchildren grow into young men and I know that you were proud of them. Dad, you were lucky to have had Barbara as your wife for the last 28 years, she will always be in our lives as she is part of this family and the boys grandmother. I know you are in peace with god and my mother Cecile. God Bless you Dad. Love Tommy
