I met charlie and 3 other new army friends at midnight, no lights in the black of night these brothers that i've called them from september 26 , 1968 picked me up at the landing strip at Camp Radcliff, An Khe Vietman, we became fast friends and watched out for each others back without even saying we would.that night we were hit pretty much we all looked at each other in amazement that started the history and friendship no one can imagine unless your in a war next to each other. 13 months past us by r & r together when we came home i'd go visit my grandmother in brooklyn and as friendship has it charlie was 1/2 mile away, we still went on r & r afew times then we ( rather charlie ) grew up and found a great gal and married, me , not yet , he had two beautiful children with jane to have a nice life. i,ve got so many things to say that would take probably 15 yrs to explain. so i'm going to stop now and just keep them what they are, great memories. and i will say that no matter how man you think you are. i miss your alot charlie.
