I first met Amby LeVan in the mid-90s when I performed at Applewood Estates. In addition to donating a wonderful piano & keeping it tuned he did my sound! And he continued to provide the sound for the next two decades when I performed there. Amby was a lovely and brilliant man. We had many enjoyable conversations. My husband also met him. Amby was always thinking of others. He would repair watches and clocks of residents, help them with various problems they might have, and so on. I enjoyed learning about his life & career -- fascinating---many contributions there! I feel very blessed to have known Amby. Sincerely, Dr. Karen Zumbrunn
