Daniel P. Mahoney, 81, of Marlboro, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, he lived in Montclair before moving to Marlboro in 1969. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran and pilot. Dan was a communicant of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Marlboro. He was an engineer for AT&T, Bedminster for 39 years before retiring in 1989.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Eleanor; his three children and their spouses, Daniel and Jill, Maryann and Matthew Wickel and Kelly and Brian Baughman; three siblings, Patricia Blackler, Janet Alipoulios and Maureen MacLoud; seven grandchildren; and a great grandson.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, May 31, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Historic Church, Marlboro. Interment will be private.
