Obituary of Shirley F. Reilly

Shirley F. Reilly nee Sopoligo, 81, of Cranbury, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at home. Born in Newark, she lived in Old Bridge, Cranford, Scotch Plains and Neptune, before moving to Cranbury in 2004. She also enjoyed time in Florida. Shirley was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and homemaker for many years, returning to work in 1970 as a secretary for Faitoute Steel, Newark, retiring in 1990. Shirley loved reading, crosswords, working on her computer and decorating. She was sensitive, caring, and beautiful, inside and out. She was predeceased by her husband and soul mate, John M. Reilly Jr. in 2002. Shirley's children and their families were the center of her world. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Jacqueline and Don Donahue of Farmingdale, Maryann and Samir Behary of Freehold, and John and Anne Reilly III of Eugene, OR; sister and brother-in-law, Maryann and Vince Gulbin of Piscataway; sister-in-law and husband Kate and Bill Lund; and eight grandchildren whom she adored: Casey and Kelsey Donahue, M. Samir, Nadine, Sharif and Romy Behary, and Allison and Julia Reilly. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 23, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Chapel, Hightstown.
