Obituary of Maureen Ann Degulis

Maureen Ann Degulis, 81, of Marlboro, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015, in Stratford, CT. Born in Yonkers, NY, she lived in Babylon, NY, where she was a first grade teacher. After her marriage in 1973, she left Long Island and moved to NJ. She worked for the NJS Unemployment office for 23 years before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Marlboro, and an avid traveler. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony; her stepson, Vincent; and sister, Ellen Hernon. She is survived by her stepson, Anthony; stepdaughter, Carol Rose; her daughter-in-law, Marie; many grandchildren; and her sister's children and grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, May 10, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Historic Church, Route 520, Marlboro. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
