Obituary of Anthony Focarino, Jr.

Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Anthony Focarino, Jr., 71, of Monroe, New Jersey, passed on Sunday, December 8, 2024. He was born in New York City and grew up in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn.

Anthony was an Architectural Engineer in New York City, then purchased a New York City yellow cab. Ever the quintessential native New Yorker, Anthony traversed the city, picking up fares from Harlem to JFK.

Anthony’s lifelong passion for cars morphed into building race cars.  For over 20 years, he competed at Folklore Racing. The beloved race car that he built was a

1968 blue Camaro. Anthony also had a deep fondness for animals. He would enjoy visiting local dog parks with his two dogs, Bunny and Dylan.

Anthony was predeceased by his parents Anthony Focarino, Sr. and Mary Focarino.  He is survived by Cira Focarino/Clemente (John Clemente), Jenna Focarino, Camille Focarino and Aliana Dimaio.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 1:00PM to 5:00PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North with a funeral service at 3:00PM.
