Obituary of Martha Papa
Martha Papa, 91, of Manalapan, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold, NJ. Martha was born in New York City and moved to New Jersey 57 years ago. Early in her life, Martha was employed at Cunard Shipping Lines in Manhattan. Prior to retirement, she worked as a matron on a Special Needs School Bus for the Staten Island Bus Company. Martha loved raising her three children, later helping with her seven grandchildren, as well as reading, and taking walks through her neighborhood. She had a beautiful singing voice and participated in the choir at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Manalapan.
Martha was predeceased by her parents Edward and Felicia LiPetri, loving husband Charles Papa, and brother Anthony LiPetri. She is survived by her daughters Suzanne Shea and Diane Horn (Jonathan Horn); son Christopher Papa (Jill Papa); grandchildren Robert Shea, Margaret Papa, Ryan Shea, Justin Horn, Briana Horn, Andrew Papa, James Papa, and great-grandchild Lauren Papa.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, November 3rd, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North. A funeral service will be held at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home on Sunday at 3:00 PM.
