Q: How did you meet Wendy?
A: I was so heartbroken to hear of Wendy's passing. Three generations of my family called this family "friend". I have wonderful memories of Wendy from when I was just a little girl and lived around the corner.
My deepest condolences to the entire family.

a kind soul, with a heart as big as the world, and a true soldier warrior in life. Her strength, warmth, and compassion touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to meet her and experience the kindness that radiated from her.

I met Wendy in camp in the summer of 1969, the best camp in my opinion,
Big Island Camp. We hit it off, the camper’s thought we were sister’s, so from that day on we called each other sister. Boy did she love the horse Prince her favorite. Then we had a reunion after 40 year’s, it was great seeing her & all the other’s who attended. I am so sorry for the loss of my friend who I called my sister. Condolences to her family. She will be truely missed & always in my heart. Love you Wendy.

Wendy was such an encourager. She would make you feel special and lift your spirits. I visited her and the girls a couple of times with her cousin Craig. We would play her guitar and she would sing with us. She was an exceptional angel and I’ll always remember her. She loved her girls so.

So sorry to hear this. My family and Wendy’s was deeply connected. Our childhoods were entwined. Wendy developed a special friendship with my mom Florence Lubin and provided great strength to my mom through the years. As such as Wendy was she came to my mom’s memorial this past April helping us get through a difficult day. I loved Dolores, Wendy’s mom and I loved and adored Wendy. A true free spirit. A really special person. She will be missed

There was never a soul more kind, more gentle or more loving than my Wendy-bird. She brought sunshine wherever she went, with her beautiful smile and soft laugh. She never said a bad word about anyone, and always made you feel special.i don’t know if I can forgive God for this. I understand he wanted the very best angel, so he picked the finest woman in the world, a ruby among women, but I hate the way he took my girl. Wendy, I’ll never forget you! We’ll try to take care of your George, we love him with all our hearts. The world feels empty right now, and a lot worse off. Rest in Peace, my beautiful girl. I will always love you. - Harriet and Paul

There are so many memories I could share of Wendy. This picture is when we thought we would be famous singers; we were the Wenjabets, which stood for Wendy, Janet and Betsy (her acoustic guitar). We had a manager that booked us in lounges, nursing homes, hospitals and any other place that would have us. Needless to say we didn’t make it famous.
My all time favorite memory is when she asked me to go see Elvis with her at Madison Square Garden. I think I was 15 and she was 16. It was the first concert I ever attended. She was so excited, that when Elvis came out she fainted. It was only for a minute, but she went down and I had to catch her.
Elvis wasn’t really my favorite, but Wendy was beaming with excitement; it gave me so much joy just to watch her. She made me wait outside after the show, in hopes that we would catch him coming out. This was so many years ago, but it always stuck with me.
Wendy was such a happy and positive person. She fought cancer with her head held high, never demonstrating anger or frustration, as the illness that took her from us physically, never broke her spirit. Heaven has received an angel. Wendy was a truly special person , and I will miss her dearly.

Wendy Sansiveri has passed, and now all those who knew her, and adored her will grieve over our loss of this incredible, wonderful loving person. I was so happy when Wendy and George got together. I am George’s ex-wife, Debbi, and I fell in love with Wendy the first time I met her. We shared so much including Grandchildren, and many happy occasions, and now I grieve with the rest of her family. Wendy and I treated each other as sisters; which is not common between an ex-wife and a wife, but there was no denying the love, and respect we shared for each other. I will miss her, and as I promised her I will always remember her and love her. Til we meet again, my soul sister…….
