When you are a kid, the parents of your friends become in a way, like another mom or dad, aunt or uncle, and some are nicer then others. Mrs. Curnal was certainly one of the nicest of my friends parents that I knew. She was always pleasant to Pat and I, and whenever we were in her home, she always made us feel completely welcome. I sure there were times when you would see her without a smile on her face, but I have never seen her without one. Sorry about not being able to be at the service, but I'm sure Champ told you why we didn't attend. John, you know we are getting old, when a funeral sounds like a good time? A time to see old friends, a time for remembrance. She'll be missed by more then just the immediate family, because she was one of the fast becoming extinct, Greatest generation!
