Obituary of Deborah Ann Sheehy
Deborah Ann Sheehy (née Zacchini), 71, of Manalapan, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024. Deborah was born in Brooklyn, New York, growing up just steps from Coney Island. After graduating from Hunter College, she worked in the accounting industry, through which she eventually met the love of her life. Later, she worked as a travel agent—which couldn’t have been more perfect, given her wanderlust and sense of adventure. She visited Japan, Russia, Norway, and Italy (among many other exciting places), and particularly enjoyed taking cruises with her loving husband.
In addition to traveling, Deborah enjoyed good food, good music, and good times with family and friends. No night was complete without sharing some good wine with her husband—and playing with her beloved German Shepherd, Sasha. All of her past dogs—Maggie, Suki, and Casey—will undoubtedly be thrilled to see her again.
Deborah was predeceased by her parents Victor and Sonja Zacchini. She is survived by her beloved husband Thomas; her son Ryan (wife, Karen Vuong); her brother Patrick Zacchini (wife, Barbara); and her sisters Ingrid Giordano (husband, William), Lauren Dericioglu (husband, Mehmet) and Karen Grimes (husband, Edward). Deborah will be sorely missed by all those who had the pleasure and blessing of knowing her.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Saturday, June 8th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North. A chapel service will be held at St. Gabriel's Cemetery and Mausoleum on Saturday at 12:30 PM. Entombment will follow. To leave a condolence or find directions, visit www.freemanfuneralhomes.com
