Obituary of Edna Mae Oglesby

Edna Mae Oglesby, 81, of Matawan, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at The Village at Meadowbrook. Edna was born in Long Branch, New Jersey before moving to Freehold. She was a graduate of Freehold High School and employed at Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital. Edna enjoyed playing cards especially bid whist and spades. She enjoyed gospels and the Lord. Edna was a former member of the Second Baptist Church on Throckmorton Street in Freehold.

Edna was predeceased by her parents Donald and Edna Mae Parrish; her husband T. Ogelsby and her siblings Dorothy Taylor, Thomas Parrish, Douglas Parrish, Rev. Frederick “Butch” Parrish, Robert Parrish, Stanely Parrish and Donald Parrish. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial gathering on Saturday, June 8^th, from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold.
