Obituary of Frank Caleo
Frank “Spatz” Caleo, 79, of Freehold Township passed away Friday, May 10 at CentraState Hospital. Born and raised in Manhattan, he moved to the Sunnyside section of Staten Island to raise his family. Along with his wife, they retired to Freehold in 2005. He worked at Precise Trucking until retiring 20 years ago. Frank was a parishioner of Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, and loved spending time with his friends in The Villages. He loved going to the racetrack and Atlantic City.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Antoinette Caleo, and his beloved wife of 52 years, Diane Caleo. Frank is survived by his children, Nicole Widman and her husband John of Freehold, Joseph Caleo and his wife Deena of Freehold; his four grandchildren, John Widman and his wife Simona, Frank Widman and his wife Rhea, Joseph Caleo and Michael Caleo; his sister Francine Malara and her husband Carmine; his sister-in-law Debra Aquilino and her husband Carmine.
Visitation will be at Freeman Funeral Home, 344 US 9, Manalapan Twp., NJ 07726, on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 4:00-8:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home at 9:30am on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 for the procession to his 10:30am funeral mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Twp., NJ 07728. Interment is private.
