Obituary of Christine M Neri

Christine M. (Vaughan) Neri, 60, of Manalapan NJ, passed away peacefully, surrounded by friends and family, on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Centrastate Medical Center following a brief illness. Christine was born in the Bronx, NY, and shortly after moved with her family to Manalapan, NJ, where she spent most of her life. Christine was a graduate of Manalapan High School and was an accomplished athlete. 

She was a secretary at McGraw Hill before becoming a wife, and a mother. Christine was a loving soul who cared about everyone and spent the last few years of her life providing care for her mother. Christine could always make anyone feel good about themselves. 

Christine was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Neri Jr., her father Edward "Arkie" Vaughan, and her brother Edward "Eddie" Vaughan. Christine is survived by her two children, Nicholas Neri III and his partner Lindsey of  Jackson, NJ; Kathryn "Katie" Neri; of Patterson, NJ; her grandchildren Daniel Gaboff, Emma Rose Neri, and Nicoletta Neri; her mother, Loretta Vaughan of Manalapan, NJ; her three siblings Patricia and Charlie Dantone of Monroe Township, NJ; Rosemarie and Bob Sauer of Franklin, TN; John Vaughan and his husband Tom Phoenix of Neptune, NJ; her sister-in-law Karen Vaughan-Oliver of Manalapan, NJ; and her long-time companion Tom Lawson of Raleigh, NC; as well as an abundance of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
