Obituary of Josephine "Babe" DiCaro

Josephine DiCaro, 83, of Englishtown, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Centra State Medical Center. Josephine, better known as “Babe,” was born in Brooklyn, New York. She proudly operated her own ceramic business in Staten Island for over 20 years and connected with friends across the boroughs. There was nobody like Babe. She was fearless, tough, compassionate, and skilled at whatever her heart desired. A truly one-of-a-kind mother and friend. The heart of our family. So giving and thoughtful, so warm and welcoming.

Josephine was predeceased by her husband Joseph DiCaro and her parents Frank and Caroline Esposito. She is survived by her brother Frankie Esposito; her children Joseph and Tonilynn DiCaro, Debora and Anthony Toto, and Pamela DiCaro-Irizarry and her grandchildren Joseph, Anthony, Robert, Anthony, Matthew, Bianca, and Gabriella. 

Friends and family are invited to visit on Tuesday, January 30, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North. A funeral service will be held at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home on Wednesday at 10:00AM. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel's Mausoleum.
