Obituary of Shirley Ann Cino

Shirley Ann Cino, 78, of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at her home. She was born in Newark, New Jersey. Shirley was a member of the PTA, GL Band Boosters, Pocono Surfer Girls, the Backyardigans, and was employed as a Receptionist for BOC Gases. She was an active member of the Christian Community of the Shrine of Saint Joseph where she taught First Communion classes for over 30 years and coordinated the Saint Columbus Christmas drive for nearly as long. She was a girl scout leader and cub scout den mother and enjoyed annual trips to various islands with Pete.  Most of all she loved spending time with all her extended family, but especially loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She cherished seeing them all perform and play all the various activities and sports they all have participated in over the many years.

 

Shirley was predeceased by her father Wilber Wire. She is survived by her husband Peter M. Cino, Sr.; her son Peter Cino (Lisa) of Princeton NJ; daughter Kristine Kelly (Tom) of Sea Bright NJ; sisters Jeanne Keller, Louise Murray, Midge Leprie and Dorothy Ingram and grandchildren Peter Cino III, Dan Cino, Annie Cino, Lorelei Reedman, Ella Kelly, Tommy Kelly and Jonathan Cino.

 

Friends and family are invited to attend the memorial gathering on Sunday, January 28th from 3:00PM to 6:00PM at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold.
