Joseph Magri, 94 passed away peacefully at The Chelsea in Manalapan on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Born in Brooklyn, New York on February 9, 1929. Joseph was passionate about his work as a pattern maker for Vanity Fair. On September 2, 1956, he married the love of his life, Jennie. They went on to create a large and loving family. 

His presence left an unforgettable mark everywhere he went. Everyone who knew Joseph knew how much he loved bowling, dancing, making jokes and eating Burger King. Joseph enjoyed being with his family and his home was always brimming with laughter and love. In addition to the relationships shared within the family, Joseph’s pure heart and gentle demeanor always connected him to the most genuine people. It is the love and support from his family and friends that carried Joseph through his journey of life. 

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Jennie Magri, sisters Josephine and Rosie and brother Frank. He is survived by his children and their spouses. Barbara and Bruce Weiner and Joann and James Gallo. Joseph was blessed with grandchildren Matthew, Jackie, Corey, James and Caroline. 

His life will be celebrated on Friday January 26th, from 3:00-8:00pm, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral home, 344 Route 9 North. A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan, on Saturday January 27th at 9:30am. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Staten Island, New York.
