Obituary of Filomena Mazzarella

Filomena “Phyllis” Mazzarella, 98, of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, peacefully at home. Filomena was born in Brooklyn, New York before moving to Jackson, NJ 23 years ago. Filomena loved spending time with her family, working on ceramics and drawing in general.   She was an avid painter and could often be found doing watercolor replicas of greeting cards or anything that caught her eye.

Filomena was predeceased by her parents Mike and Jenny Caltabiano and her loving spouse Charles; sisters Constance Sarvaideo, Frances Mason and brother Frank Caltabiano. She is survived by her children Richard Mazzarella (daughter-n-law Sylvia), Charles Mazzarella (Daughter-n-law Linda);  and Susan MacNab (Son-n-law Ian); her grandchildren Richard Mazzarella, Brandon Mazzarella, Joseph Mazzarella, Denise Calvoni, Christian McNab, Alex McNab, Nick McNab and Alyson Boughton and great-grandchildren Kate, Kim, Kari, Sofia, Olivia, Emily, Phoebe, Madison, Taylor and Kasey.
