Life is made up of events and experiences which become memories we cherish such as the birth of a child, a graduation, marriage and the death of a loved one. These events remain with us for as long as we live and then live on in our loved ones. We use these memories as a way to honor our family in ways which make us proud and sometimes sad especially when we lose someone we love. My sister Louise is gone now but my memories of her will remain with me for the rest of my life. She will always be my big sister. The sister who played the guitar, who sang songs, loved old movies, great literature and was the prettiest girl in the neighborhood. She was my inspiration growing up. Louise imparted me with the love of music, importance of an education and established a high school record that preceded me for not for our same last name. " Is Louise Asta your sister," said the English, Spanish and History teachers throughout my high school years at William Cullen Bryant. Louise was the the person who always believed in me and loved me regardless of the situation. We loved, we fought we laughed we cried but through it all we had each other to count on. She will be missed but still loved and remembered for who she was and that was a child, a wife a mother, a grandmother, a cousin a friend and my sister who I will always love for as long as I live.
