Obituary of Angela Moran

Angela Moran, 93, of Millstone Township, NJ, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023, at her home. A devout Catholic and lifelong Staten Islander, Angela graduated from Wagner College and later Columbia University. She started her career as a nurse at Staten Island University Hospital and went on to become a professor of nursing at Wagner College, where she taught until she retired in 1990. She was a member of the Epsilon Mu chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Angela inspired countless students to pursue paths of excellence in nursing, instilling in them kindness, warmth, and compassion. She will be remembered for her supportive nature as a teacher and as an outstanding mother and grandmother, affectionately called “Nanny.” She was loved by all.

Angela was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Marina Titta; her husband, Robert B. Moran Sr.; and her brothers, Rev. Santino Titta, John Titta, and Joseph Titta. She is survived by her brother Frank Titta of Neshanic Station, NJ; sons Robert Moran Jr. (Frannie) of Millstone Township, NJ; Patrick Moran (Donna) of Barnegat, NJ; and daughter Teresa Dalessio (James) of Chester, MD. She is also survived by grandchildren Jaimie (John), Jaclyn (Zachary), Jeanine (Brenden), Zachary, Mackenzie, Jackson, Matthew, and Melissa; and great-grandchildren Owen, Zoey, and Miles.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, December 17, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North. A funeral service will be held at Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine on Monday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Moravian Cemetery on Staten Island.
