Obituary of Alan Baird

Alan R. Baird, 78, of, Freehold, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from complications of diabetes. Alan, a Vietnam veteran, served his country in the United States Navy.  Prior to his retirement, he owned a RotoRooter franchise in the Freehold area for many years.  To relax he enjoyed bowling and later, golf, which he played both in New Jersey and Vermont, where he owned a vacation home.   

He was predeceased by his sister Pamela Hoppes.  Surviving are his wife, Eliza; nephew, Robert A. Hoppes; niece, Rebekah H. Reilly and five great nieces and nephews.

Alan had happy memories of Vermont as a boy when he visited his grandfather’s farm.  Family and friends were important to Alan and he looked forward to meeting new people.  After retiring he and his wife loved to travel, both by land and sea.
