Aunt Gloria,
I have so many wonderful memories of childhood of coming to your house to visit you. It has always been such a special thing to be able to call you my Aunt. You and Uncle Freddie have always been so kind to us.
I remember when we come to your house, it seemed like such a far trip and my mom and dad we call out landmarks along the way to let us know that we were getting close. I was always soooooo excited to see you all. You were such a warm and kind soul in my life and I will always remember you with fondness.
Please say hello to my dad for me and know I will always remember you.

Gloria was a big part of my childhood, growing up in Manalapan. I spent many hours at the Close household with Allison (and Melanie who was almost like a little sister to me too). I was thrilled when I was there and Gloria was making her infamous egg rolls - guaranteed to leave with a full belly. I can still vividly picture her glorious garden well tended to in their backyard. Blessed to have grown up in a simpler time where neighbors were like a second family, I will always hold the memories of Gloria and being in her home, close to my heart.
With Love,
Stephanie (Shapiro) Tuzzeo

Ina Salamat po for everything. You are my first love, my protector and my queen. Thank you for my beautiful life.Thank you for bringing your culture and your pinoy food and your theories and philosophies into every aspect of our lives. You were one of a kind and I was always so proud when you would come into school and make egg rolls or fried rice for my classmates in elementary school. My classmates really loved you too and thought of you as a second mommy. But you see, if you were a mom to three, you became a mom to everyone. The parties we all had were legendary, and I'm still expecting piñatas, bunuelos, and pancit for birthdays. There is a rhythm you set that feels so irretrievably broken; we will all do our best to make you proud.
Your greatest legacy are your children and your grandbabies. We love you so much and you are so missed. You are our warrior woman.
In the Roman Catholic tradition, the Glorias go something like this..."Glory be to the Father and to the son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be world without end. Amen." Thank you for your faith and your love and your strength. I know you are in a better place. Watch over us all Ina ok? xoxo, Your maganda enok, Allison, Christopher, Juliana, Theo, Ainslie and Lachlan
PS. Send some butterflies to the children. Your are in the air and the trees and the sky. Sige po, paalam na po. We will do our best to take care of daddy, your Gemini twin. Your love for one another is an inspiration.

Gloria was a dear friend of ours whom we first met at FRHSD School Board meetings many years ago, She was full of energy, had a great sense of humor and loved to go hiking and blueberry picking with us. Her energy and intelligence belied her size and was always willing to help anyone in need. She will be dearly missed.

I always remember how Gloria assembled jewelry
For Sportmate in Manalapan
She was a perfectionist and each piece of jewelry came out very beautiful.
We will miss you
