Obituary of Michael John Drotar

Michael John Drotar Sr., 76, of Manalapan, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023.  Michael was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and eventually settled in Manalapan, NJ.  Over his working years, Michael had many roles including successfully running his own carpentry business.  He was a man with a great sense of humor and usually had a witty, sarcastic comment ready.  He had many hobbies and interests including photography, gardening, being a history buff, and woodworking.  He was also an avid genealogist who was always trying to learn more about his family and then share what he had discovered.  He had the mind of an engineer with the ability to implement what he envisioned.  He took great pride in being able to fix and repair any issue that came up with the house. He was always willing to share his knowledge and experience with others as well.

Michael was predeceased by his parents John and Jennie.  He is survived by his spouse Patricia; children and their spouses Michael and Erika; Kathleen and Chris; Megan and Morgan; sisters and their spouses Barbara and James and Esther and Tom and grandchildren Morgan, Adrian, Ruth, Sam, Hazel, Isabelle and Cole.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, October 26th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North.  A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church on Friday at 10:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to the Michael J.
