Obituary of Jean A. DiArchangel

Jean A. DiArchangel, 86, of Monroe, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at home. Jean was born in Brooklyn, New York and eventually settled in Monroe, NJ.

Jean has always been a strong woman with a caring and loving heart.

She lived for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and brothers and sisters. She loved with all her heart. Jean loved to cruise. As a family, we've been on many cruises together. She loved it when her family gathered to share a meal. We would laugh, sing, and tell stories new and old. Of course, we would have martinis at 6:00PM and toast to our close-knit family. 

We had many adventures together, including seeing the world/ traveling, parasailing, helmet diving, jet skiing, dinners out, gambling, seeing shows in Atlantic City, and relaxing at beach houses. Mom loved nature. Sunsets and thunderstorms were her favorites. When a beautiful sunset would begin, she would get us all in the car to rush to the perfect spot to see the most amazing sunsets. In her younger years, she was an avid tennis player and loved reading. She enjoyed her solitude and crossword puzzles. Most of all, she lit up when she heard from any of her children or grandchildren. 

Jean was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Cynthia Meegan; spouse Michael and son Michael.  She is survived by her sons Stephen and Keith; daughter Gina and 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.                       

Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, October 22nd , from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North.  A funeral service will be held at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home on Sunday at 2:30 PM.
