Obituary of Brian David Fitzpatrick
Brian David Fitzpatrick was born on July 2nd, 1955 to Vivian James and Henrietta Mary (nee Greene) Fitzpatrick. Brian was the third eldest of his five(5) siblings. As a teenager, Brian could often be found on the neighboring courts of P.S. 35, playing basketball with his brothers as the three took on other neighborhood teams. The Fitzpatrick Brothers often won those games. Brian was an avid traveler who enjoyed new experiences. If you knew Brian, you would know that he was also a connoisseur of clothing.
Brian was a graduate of Nazareth Regional HS in Brooklyn, NY where he won several medals as a member of Nazareth’s Track Team. He retired as a Superintendent from the NYC Metropolitan Transit Authority after providing dedicated service for twenty-plus years. Brian then worked for Ford as a salesperson and Lowes as a supervisor.
Anyone who knew our beloved Brian knows he always had a warm and welcoming smile, a kind word, and a quick wit as well as a love for cruising and travel. In addition, Brian was a very spiritual person and was an active participant with his church in every community that he lived in. He was a Deacon at this Church. To know Brian was to be assured of a true friend for life. Our hearts are heavy, but the memories and love are boundless.
Brian left his earthly body on Monday, August 28th, 2023. Brian is preceded in death by his brother, Keith Kenneth Fitzpatrick, and his parents. Brian is survived by his wife of thirty-two (32) years, Deborah Fitzpatrick; his sons, Brian David Fitzpatrick, II and Brandon DaShawn Fitzpatrick; his grandson, Elijah Moses; his sister Carol Fitzpatrick-Sims (Frank); his brother, Stuart Fitzpatrick (Wendy); and sister Vilma Fitzpatrick Akins (Lenny); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Please join the family in comfort and sorrow.
