From the moment I came into the world, my grandmother has always been there for me. She was among the first to see me when I was born. She was there for every big event in my life. Whenever I needed something, she was there for me. The night our house was hit by Hurricane Sandy, she welcomed us into hers for a sleepover. When I was little, she would watch me while my mom and dad were working. I remember always watching Judge Judy together and running around the house with her. The last time I saw her, I gave her a hug. I know that I’m going to take that hug with me for the rest of my life. It already has been really hard to let her go. But, I still do and always will have my memories of her, and of course our hug. I love you, Grandma. Luke

Natalie Rose Errico was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She used her innate devotion as a mother to raise her three children and spent over 50 years with her husband, Peter. The two mutually supported each other over a half century of life’s joys and challenges building a life in Staten Island and New Jersey. They were each other’s best friend. My parents valued and supported all educational pursuits at any cost or sacrifice. They instilled in all of us a strong work ethic. My fondest memories include the holiday, birthday and special occasion dinners my parents assembled, often days in advance, including toys for the grandchildren and traditional, family recipes. In preschool she made me a gypsy Halloween costume sewing each piece by hand. It was a costume I still remember wearing proudly as a young girl. My mom particularly enjoyed being a grandparent. She enjoyed hearing each grandchild’s milestone and how they viewed the world. She openly shared her joy with family and friends. During one of her last days, we reminisced about people in her life from years back to present. Family and friends were all part of her journey. She will be greatly missed. We love her.
