Obituary of Grace Jeanne Sansone

Grace Jeanne Sansone, 85, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Homewood at Crumland Farms in Frederick, MD. Born on June 22, 1937, in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Lavinia and Margaret (Santoro) Schultz.

Grace attended Weequahic High School in Newark, NJ. She continued her education and received her medical assistant certificate at Hagerstown Community College. She worked for McGraw-Hill Publishing in NJ where she was a Royalty Department Clerk for 23 years until her retirement.  She then worked part-time as a medical assistant in Frederick, MD.  She has made friendships living in New Jersey, Maryland, South Carolina, and California.

She is survived by her sister Marianne Shinn, her daughters; Robyn Giangrande and her life-partner David Weiss, and Victoria Sansone and her spouse Kenneth Nelson Jr. Grandchildren; Meredith Giangrande, Justin Giangrande, Kyle Giangrande, Alexa Nelson, Gabriella Nelson, Zachary Nelson, and Jacob Nelson, and great-granddaughter; Gianna Love Giangrande.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Sansone.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Friday, March 10, from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North.  A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Gabriel's Historic Church on Friday at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery & Mausoleum, East Hanover.
