Obituary of Dr. Arle Ravina Manabat
Dr. Arle Ravina Manabat, 86, of Lake County Florida, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born in Bacolod, Philippines to the late Agripino and Leonila Ravina on April 21, 1936.
Arle attended Negros Occidental High School and achieved her Doctorate of Medicine from University of Santo Tomas on March 24, 1960. She was a compassionate healer and accomplished medical practitioner for over 50 years. She spent most of her career working in Point Pleasant Hospital until 2010 when she retired.
Arle married Buenaventura “Ben” Manabat on April 18, 1962. The two were each other’s lifelong companions until Ben passed in 2017. They were blessed with three children, Robert (Bob), John and Giselle.
She loved traveling with Ben all over the world, playing mahjong with her friends and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Arle is survived by her two brothers Agripino E. Ravina Jr. (Lourdes) and Manuel E. Ravina (Ivy Rose), son Robert Manabat, son John Manabat, daughter Giselle Rosenfeld, seven grandchildren, Nicole, Alec, Kyle, Zachary, Matthew, Dylan, Amanda and seven nieces and nephews. Arle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all.
Family and friends may visit the Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan on Sunday, February 5, from 1–5 PM. A funeral liturgy will be held on Monday, February 6, at 12:30 PM at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, 549 Route 520, Marlboro. Arle will be laid to rest at St. Gabriel's Mausoleums next to her husband Ben.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Dr. Arle Ravina Manabat.
