Obituary of Isabelle Lewis

OBITUARY             

Isabelle Lewis, 92, of Freehold, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023, at Centra State Medical Center. Isabelle was born in Jamesburg, New Jersey. Isabelle was raised on Mclean Street in Freehold.  She was a graduate of Freehold Borough High School 1948, member and Past President of the A.L.A. Monmouth Unit 54 Auxiliary - Freehold, Telephone Pioneers, Business Professional of Women and the Red Hats.  Isabelle was employed and retired as a Telephone Operator for NJ Bell Telephone (Verizon). 

Isabelle - Sissy as known by many enjoyed Freehold Seniors; playing solitaire, doing crossword puzzles, and shopping. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family and friends.  We are thankful for daughter Donna for being her primary care giver and providing quality of life for Isabelle during her past few years. 

Isabelle was predeceased by her loving husband Donald (Catfish) Lewis; parents Stella & Harold Lykes and her son-in-law Arlen R. Norby. She is survived by daughters, Ann Marie Norby of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Donna Lewis,  Mary Ann Biggs & Husband Jonathan of Freehold;  brother Harold (Joseph) Lykes of Collegeville PA; sisters Joan Anderson of Mayslanding, Mary Froehlich and Alice Conover of Whiting NJ; grandchildren & significant others Tobi Smith, Carli & Robert Pacheco,  Donald & Shannon Norby, Olivia & Steve Waricka, Jerica & Jimmy Bremer, Jake & Samantha Savarino, and Nicolette Savarino; Great-Grandchildren – Kyle & Hannah Norby, Grace & Alex Pacheco, Riley & Rebecca Smith, Dallas & Scarlette McGill, Bodhi Waricka.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, January 15th, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street. There will be an American Legion Auxiliary Service Sunday at 3 pm.  A funeral service will be held at Freeman Funeral Home on Monday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
