I will miss my dear Aunt Antoinette, who passed away last night at age 94. Although she never married or had children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephew and shared so much of herself with all of us. My memories of her are many! When we were younger, she generously treated us to Broadway plays,movies and stage shows at Radio City Music Hall and luncheons in NYC. She taught me how to sew, how to knit and crochet and even how to shave my legs! She gave me my first manicure/pedicure! She took me Christmas shopping in downtown Brooklyn as a kid and was very involved in all the lives of her nieces and nephew and our families too! She was always encouraging and supportive, and happy to be alive. She had a hearty laugh!!! When younger, she loved to travel. She enjoyed going out on day trips to Atlantic City and elsewhere, until she couldn’t anymore. She loved to sew and bake, play cards and the lottery! She loved to be fashionable even at the end of her life! Along with my sister, brother and cousins, it was an honor to help her through her end of life journey! May you be at peace, Aunt Antoinette, safely at home in the arms of Jesus! August 12, 1928-December 12, 2022
