Obituary of Rose Salozzo

Rose Salozzo, 81, of Manalapan, passed away on January 26, 2015, at the Francis Parker at Landing Lane Nursing Home, New Brunswick. Born in Johnstown, PA, she lived in Buffalo, NY before moving to Manalapan 50 years ago. She was a former communicant of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan. Rose loved to cook and bake for family and friends. No one ever went home hungry. She was predeceased by her husband, Cosimo in 1991, and her sisters, Patricia Jones and Theresa Morton. She is survived by her children, John and Charlotte Salozzo, Janet Salozzo, and Linda Salozzo and Gale Sterling; brother, Samuel LoVetro; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Caroline; and granddog, Ricky. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, Jan. 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Interment will be private.
