Obituary of Margaret Walter
Margaret Walter, 85, formerly of Manalapan, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13 at The Willows in Holmdel. She was born in the Bronx, New York and resided in Manalapan for more than 40 years.
She earned her Associates Degree from Brookdale Community College and served as Welfare Director for Manalapan Township for many years prior to her retirement.
Traveling with family and friends was one of her biggest joys. She loved to cruise and take her granddaughters to Maine, Disney World and Hawaii. She also loved the opera, broadway shows, playing Bingo and was an avid Mah Jongg player.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Joe. She is survived by her daughter Linda and her husband Randy of Wilson, NC; Debbie and her husband Joe of Marlboro; her brother Earl Ewing of NY; her four granddaughters Jennifer, Kristin, Kelly and Jillian and seven great grandchildren: Luke, Bradley, Natalie, Ethan, Carter, Chase and Blake.
Friends and family are invited to visit Saturday, Sept. 17, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan.
