Obituary of Rudolph Hlavenka

Rudolph Hlavenka, "Uncle Rudy" 90, of Manalapan, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at home with his beloved aide ‘Z’ by his side. Rudolph was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and resided in Manalapan for 49 years. Rudolph was a Master Mechanic for Zoubek Associates Inc. in Parlin, NJ before he retired. He previously worked as a car mechanic for Circle Esso of Iselin, NJ, which he owned with his two brothers.

Rudolph was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Katherine and his brothers Joseph and Frank.  He is survived by his nephews Frank Jr, Joseph, Lawrence and Mark and his nieces Judy and Michelle. He had many close friends he cherished throughout the years.

Rudolph was a lover of all animals and nature. He also took great pride in his vegetable farming. He enjoyed the Jersey shore, which include “boogie boarding”, fishing and boating. He was an avid reader of history and was a loyal NY Giants fan.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, August 18^th, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm,at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 19^th, at 10:00am. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery.
