Obituary of Carol Ann Boccino
Carol Ann Boccino, 80, of Manalapan passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 19, 2022, surrounded by her loving husband and family. Carol was born in Montclair and grew up in Rutherford. After High School, she worked at National Community Bank in Rutherford where she met her future husband, Bob. They were married in 1961 and raised their 3 sons Ken, Tom and Dave in Lyndhurst, Bergenfield and Park Ridge.
In Park Ridge, Carol supported her community as a member of the local school PTA and PEP organization and as a Board Member of the Pascack Valley Mental Health Center. She was employed at the Van Riper’s Farm Bakery in Woodcliff Lake. Carol volunteered for many years in the Neo-Natal Care Unit at Hackensack Hospital and spoke fondly of the countless babies she rocked, comforted, and fed. Upon moving to Four Seasons at Manalapan, she continued to volunteer as a member of the Women’s Club in the Share and Care Group quilting blankets for donations to various causes. She enjoyed Wednesday Bingo at Manalapan Seniors and playing Canasta with her friends at The Four Seasons Community. Carol loved to sew, quilt, cross-stitch, make Christmas ornaments, and bake cookies of every variety, among which were her famous chocolate chip cookies, which were enjoyed by many and particularly by her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bob, sons Ken (Nerissa), Tom (Jeff Szabo) and Dave; grandchildren Joshua and Alaina; sister Ellen Mallette. She will be missed dearly by her grand-puppy, Loki.
