Obituary of Evelyn R Weingart

Evelyn Weingart (nee Giacomo) of Freehold, peacefully passed away on February 23, 2022. She was born in New Brunswick, NJ on December 19, 1924. Evelyn attended Highland Park High School where she was a drum majorette and met the love of her life and future husband Kenneth Weingart. After marrying Mr. and Mrs. Weingart resided in Edison Township for many years having one child. Evelyn had many jobs over the years, but was most passionate about retiring as assistant manager at Macy’s salon after 12 dedicated years. After her retirement and moving to Freehold Township, she became a member of multiple senior citizen clubs and enjoyed raising funds for causes such as Deborah Heart and Lung Center and Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  As a devoted member of the Catholic Church Evelyn was a parishioner of many churches, most recently Saint Rose of Lima. She enjoyed annual trips to Florida with her late husband, dancing, bowling, bingo, trips to Atlantic City, and most recently enjoying time with her great grandchild.

She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth; she leaves behind her son Jeffrey Weingart and his wife Loretta of Kingwood Township her two grandchildren Gillian Weingart and Del Weingart and great grandchild Justin Norris.

Visitation will be held at Freeman Funeral Home 47 E. Main St. Freehold Monday, March 7, 2022 at 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
