Obituary of Philip J Franco

Philip J. Franco, 89, of Freehold, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Emerson, he lived in North Brunswick for 47 years before moving to Freehold in 2011. He was a World War II Navy and Army veteran. Phil was a sales representative for First Investors Corp. for almost 50 years before retiring in 2003. He enjoyed watching golf, taking day trips, and was an avid reader. He was also a fan of the NY Rangers and NY Football Giants and an all around sports enthusiast. He was predeceased by his wife, Katherine in 2009. He is survived by his son, Peter of Freehold; his siblings, Thomas of Whiting and Marianne Franco of Florida; and two grandchildren, Philip and Neomie Franco. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 10:00 AM, at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold.
