Helen Rosella, of Old Bridge, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 30,2022, surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born in New Brunswick, to Thomas and Sophie Christ. After marriage to Michael Rosella in 1956, she resided in Manalapan, then moved to Old Bridge, where she had lived for the past 59 years.
For many years, she was a member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Old Bridge. She was involved in St. Thomas Seniors, Old Bridge Seniors, and enjoyed attending AARP meetings. Prior to her retirement to raise her family, Helen was employed as Secretary to the Business Manager of the New Brunswick Board of Education. Helen was loving, helpful, kind, and caring to her many family and friends. She made everyone who visited her feel welcomed and loved. She will be long remembered, always cherished, and greatly missed.
Helen was predeceased by her husband Michael in 2011 and her son, John, in 2019. She is survived by her three sons and daughter: Michael Rosella; Thomas (and Beverly) Rosella; Edward Rosella, and Theresa (and Franceso) Esposito. Her grandchildren: Joshua (and Melanie) Rosella, Rachel (and Shane) Ramsey, Nicholas Esposito, Lauren Miller, Loredana Rosella, Stephanie Esposito, Ovidiu Rosella, Roxana Rosella, Jana Esposito, and Jonathan Esposito. And great-grandchildren: Charlotte Rosella and Aubrey Ramsey.
Friends and family are invited to remember her and celebrate her life on Monday, February 7th, at 10am, at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. Services will continue with a funeral service held at the funeral home on Monday at 11am. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
