My sincere condolences to Mrs. Silvestri and Family. What a fine man / teacher / coach / friend. Not only was he my freshman basketball coach at Moore in 1973-74, but we use to go to Vernon Valley ski area on Wednesday nights at least twice a month. It was the ONLY time it was ok to call him Bobby (lol) We use to talk for the two hour drive, always as a friend, not just as a teacher. Little did I know back then, he WAS teaching me. I was honored when he ask me to help him with establishing the Moore Ski Club, which really took off. Most of the time with two bus loads of students. May you rest in peace, "Jean-Claude Killy" See you on the black diamond slopes.

Mr. Silvestri was my social studies teacher for 4 years at Moore. He took us to Jimmy Carter's inauguration! He made us feel like we could make a difference. He is probably why I teach Social studies today. Many great memories. Sympathies to his family. Rest in peace. Kathy Griffin Bayer

Pam and I knew Bob since he began teaching at Marlboro High School. Over the years we shared many great times together especially when our children were young. Bob had a warm and friendly personality and demonstrated a deep love for his wife and children. We will miss him but will always keep his spirit alive in our thoughts and prayers.
We send our deepest sympathy to Debbie and the entire Silvestri family.

Our condolences to Mr. Silvestri's wife and family. He was a fine man and a kind soul. He always treated everyone with respect. Genuine. Sincere. I had him for freshman history in 1973. He was also my freshman basketball coach. He taught us how to be a class act by being a fine role model. He really cared. When you were not doing the right thing, he let you know it in such a nice way. He actually took me to Madison Square Garden to see St. Johns. He was a big fan of Lou Carneseca. I remember sharing a few laughs too. Yes, he was a fine man. It was so nice to see him with his wife, Debbie, at our reunions in 2007 and/or 2012. Rest in peace Coach! Until we meet again.
