Obituary of Catherine DeLorenzo

Catherine DeLorenzo, 62, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Hackensack Meridian University Hospital, Mountainside.  Catherine started her working career at NJ BELL. After that career and meeting her husband, Dann, she became a full-time teacher at South River Middle School where she was a teacher for 16 years. She retired from teaching in 2017. She also was a teacher for her daughter in Confraternity of Christian doctrine (CCD) class. She was born in Jersey City, NJ and lived there until she married her husband, Dann. She was a Manalapan resident from 1993-2012 before she moved to Jackson township 2012-2019. In 2019 she moved one last time to Cape Coral Florida from 2019-2021.

Cathy loved her children very much, would always make sure they were well taken care of, and made it known how much she loved them. She had a huge heart, and a selfless attitude. She will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.

Catherine is survived by her son Dann and his wife Alyssa; son Kevin; daughter Tara and her fiancé Michael and her brother Joseph.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, September 9^th, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan.  A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Gabriel's Historic Church on Friday, September 10^th at 11:00 AM.
