Obituary of James Arthur Palser
James (Jim) Arthur Palser, 82, of Freehold, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021, at The Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on July, 2, 1939, he married Emily M Klein in 1960. He was employed at Continental Can Company for 25 years before he worked for Paramount Pictures. Until his retirement Jim worked for Pershing Brokerage (division of DLJ) for 18 years. In 1969, Jim moved to Manalapan and became a life member of the Englishtown Manalapan First Aid Squad. Jim was an umpire for the Manalapan Little League for 25 years. He was also a member of the K of C Prince of Peace Council and the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Oliver Plunkett Division 16 Freehold.
Jim was predeceased by his loving wife Emily M., and his son James Jr. He is survived by his daughter Emily S. and his brother John.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday August 26th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan, on Friday, August 27th at 10am. Interment will follow at The Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation to the St. Thomas More Vincent de Paul Society or the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 16 Freehold NJ.
