Obituary of Angelo Peter Leggio

Angelo P. Leggio, 67, of Manalapan Township, died Friday
at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Comiso, Sicily, Italy, he was raised in the Bronx prior to moving to the Marlboro-Manalapan area 40 years ago. Angelo was involved in many civic activities, including, Monroe Chamber of Commerce, Freehold Rotary Club, a volunteer for the Senior Center of Monroe and a communicant of St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro. Angelo was an Army veteran stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War and has been the branch manager for Amboy Bank, Monroe for many years. He always had a kind word, a helping hand and loving smile for all who knew him. Music and his family were his passions.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diane; his son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Danielle of Howell; daughter, Nicole Boyce of Morganville; his mother, Lucy of Manalapan; his brother and sister-in-law, Benny and Anne of Babylon, NY; two brothers-in-law and their spouses, Frank and Jill Rammairone of Marlboro and Arthur and Joan Rammairone of Manalapan and three grandchildren, Cara and Gina Boyce and Angelo Leggio.
Visitation will be Monday, December 1, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Gabriel's Main Church, Route 79, Marlboro. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel's Mausoleum, Marlboro.
