Obituary of Ryan Joseph Eger

Ryan Joseph Eger, 38, of Howell, NJ, passed away on 4/25/2021.  Ryan was born in Point Pleasant New Jersey and grew up in Union. He graduated Union Catholic Regional High School in 2000.  He went on to earn a degree in Political Science from Monmouth University and graduated in 2005.  He worked as an integration analyst for Centra State Hospital for ten years.  He enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife and children, Kola, the family dog, summers by his pool, renovating his home, listening to and writing music, drawing, and watching old 80’s movies.

Ryan is survived by his loving wife, Kerri Eger, their two precious children, Joseph and Elvie Eger, his parents, Joseph and Valerie Eger, his brother, John Eger, and his niece and nephew, Olivia and Gregory Mielech.  

Visitation will be held at Freeman Funeral Home located at 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan, on May 1^st from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with Deacon Matthew Nicosia of St. Thomas More church will be officiating at 5:45 p.m.  Visitation in its entirety will also be live streamed for loved ones feeling more comfortable attending from home due to the pandemic.  The family is encouraging people to attend in whatever manner they feel most safe and comfortable. Some immediate family members are high risk and immune compromised.  Please wear a mask and follow Covid restrictions put forth through Freeman Funeral Home.
